15th May 2022

Due to circumstances out of our control this event has moved to Carlyon Bay instead of Porthpean. It will be just as much fun!

This is the ultimate alternative triathlon for all skill levels – the Swim-SUP-Run has moved to Porthpean beach for 2022. The traditional bike leg is replaced with a Stand Up Paddle board! No fancy carbon bikes, just you, a SUP board and your core strength. Check out the event film below.

So whether you're a novice or experienced triathlete, this proves to be a different kind of challenge.

The tri starts with a 750m sea swim. Once completed and after a quick transition on the beach you'll pick up your SUP and jump aboard for a 1.5km paddle before returning to the beach and into transition. Here you'll leave your SUP and get your trainers on for the final leg, a loop out towards Trenarren and back along local footpaths before returning to finish on Porthpean beach.

The event is open to both individual and relay entries so if you don't fancy doing all three disciplines, grab a mate or two and do one each! The races will be run as two separate events with the team event being held after the individual so if you're really keen you can do both. All you have to do is enter both the individual and team events in the entry form.

A limited number of SUPs are available to hire, if required please select this option on entering to secure one. Boards will be distributed at registration on a first come first served basis and you are not guaranteed to be able to select a board size. The entry fee includes an event t-shirt and a silicone swim hat.
